About the Opportunity
Ketza Construction Corp. is looking for a full-time Construction Site Superintendent based in Whitehorse, Yukon, with work schedules that vary depending on project location. Local projects typically follow standard weekday hours, while remote site work may require rotational shifts.
Reporting to the Area Superintendent, you will play a pivotal role in leading site-level construction activities, ensuring project delivery aligns with timelines, specifications, budgets, and safety standards.
In this position, you will be primarily responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations on active construction sites, coordinating teams and subcontractors, and supporting successful project execution from start to finish.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinating and supervising all on-site construction activities
- Planning, scheduling, and managing construction operations in line with project requirements
- Collaborating with engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to support project needs
- Monitoring safety compliance and maintaining quality standards throughout project phases
- Managing jobsite resources, equipment deliveries, and site documentation
- Tracking project progress and updating schedules accordingly
- Leading daily site meetings and maintaining a detailed construction log
- Supporting field staff, subcontractors, and trades to ensure clear communication and goal alignment

About You
To qualify, you will need a post-secondary education in a construction-related field such as construction management, engineering, or architecture, or a relevant industry certification, with 10+ years of on-site supervisory experience in the construction industry.
The following are required:
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Willingness and ability to travel and work on rotational schedules for remote projects
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
- Proven experience managing institutional, commercial, or multi-residential building projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, safety regulations, and project delivery
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and construction schedules
- Experience using construction-related software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, Office Suite, and digital site documentation
- Effective leadership skills with the ability to supervise crews and coordinate subcontractors
- Strong planning, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Experience working in remote northern communities or with First Nations clients

About the Benefits
Compensation for this role includes a competitive annual salary range of $100,000 to $150,000, negotiable based on your demonstrated skills and experience. In addition, Ketza offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
